If you are looking for the opportunity to spend time outdoors learning bushcraft skills, making environmental art, chatting around the campfire, or enjoying a quiet moment, our Woodland Experience sessions can provide this. We offer Woodland Experience sessions for families, groups of adults, and special needs groups. The sessions are usually two and a half hours long but we can arrange full days. Drinks and snacks are provided. Activities are risk-assessed and our forest leader is fully qualified and DBS cleared.
The Woodland Experiences are based in the farm woodlands where you can shelter in a larch wood hut, sit around a campfire and toast marshmallows, and explore the natural environment. There are areas for spending quieter moments, along with areas for building dens and working on woodland crafts. Our woodlands are a wonderful habitat for a wide variety of plants and animals. They provide a nesting site for many birds, including kestrels, buzzards, owls, and tree sparrows. If you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of some of these during your visit. Wildfowl and wading birds can be spotted on the wetlands next to the woods during Spring, Autumn, and Winter.
Bring your group to Humblescough Farm for an unforgettable day of woodland activities. If you get in touch we can work together to plan a day, or half day, to suit your requirements.
