Shepherd's Hut in Garstang, Lancashire

The Shepherd's Hut at Humblescough Farm

The Shepherd's Hut at Humblescough Farm is nestled in a quiet corner of our caravan site and overlooks a wildlife pond. There are views of the Bowland Fells and sheep are usually grazing in the fields. Around the farm there is an abundance of wildlife and, with luck, you will spot hares in the fields along with barn owls and bats near the pond at dusk. The site is quite dark, making it a great place for star-gazing on a clear night.

Inside the shepherd's hut you will find all you need for a comfortable stay. There is a fixed bed, a folding table with two chairs and a small kitchen area with a sink, microwave and fridge. Cutlery and crockery are included. Washing up liquid and tea towels are in the cupboard under the sink. There is also a complimentary supply of teabags and coffee.

We aim to be as environmentally responsible as possible and prefer to use eco-friendly and fairtrade products whenever we can.

The bathroom has a shower, sink, toilet and electric towel radiator. We provide toiletries and towels.

WE DO NOT PROVIDE BEDDING. You will need to bring your own double sheet, duvet and cover, pillowcases and pillows.

The Shepherd's Hut has a TV and a radio but no WiFi which gives the perfect opportunity for a digital detox.

A cupboard with clothes hangers and the large drawers under the bed provide storage space.

Next to the hut there is a outdoor covered area with chairs, a table, a small barbecue and a storage box containing a pack of charcoal, firelighters, and foil trays. You can purchase additional barbecue supplies from the farm.

If you enjoy sitting by a campfire in the evenings, there is an option to hire a firepit for £12 per night. We include a bag of locally-sourced wood, kindling, and a firelighter. Please do not bring your own firepit or wood.
